Speaker - Dr Merlin Willcox

Dr Merlin Willcox qualified in medicine from the University of Oxford in 1998 and completed GP training in 2004. Since then I have combined clinical work as a GP with research. My main research interests are primary health care in Low and Middle Income Countries, and complementary therapies.

I have been an Academic Clinical Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Southampton since October 2016. I am now involved in several research projects on herbal medicines as alternatives for antibiotics, including the HATRIC trial of Pelargonium sidoides for acute bronchitis in adults.
